Forenom and Real Eiendomsforvaltning have entered a contract with FREYR Battery to provide housing for new employees in Mo i Rana
“To have successful recruitment on the scale that FREYR Battery requires, accommodation will be critical. Without a good place to live it will be hard to acquire the competence needed”, says Birgitte Skjefstad, Head of Talent Acquisition at FREYR. We expect several hundred new employees to work in the factory in the next few years, most of whom currently live outside the region.

Forenom is the leading provider of serviced apartments in the Nordic region with more than 9.000 apartments. Forenom assists several thousand companies in the Nordics with accommodation for both short- and long-term stays. In Norway, Forenom has offices and residences in Oslo, Drammen, Trondheim, and Bergen, among other places.
“We are seeing strong growth and are very satisfied with the agreement we have with FREYR Battery in Mo i Rana and are very much looking forward to establishing ourselves more strongly in Helgeland”, says Thomas Ortega, Key Account Manager for FREYR Battery at Forenom.
“We have extensive experience with the challenges of accommodating many people in large projects. We are also very pleased to have included Thomas Bohlin and Real Eiendomsforvaltning in the agreement with FREYR on a relocation program in Mo i Rana”, says Juha Hämäläinen, Senior Project Manager at Forenom.

Birgitte emphasizes that they have been working for a long time to find a good partner who can assist in this important work. “We are very satisfied with landing this collaboration with two companies who, in a complementary way, will be one of our resources in the market to provide homes for our new employees.” FREYR Battery has both employees who travel alone and those who move with their families, so all types of accommodation will be relevant.
Real Eiendomsforvaltning, which is part of the Bohlin Group, will assist with inspections and viewings of homes for FREYR Battery’s new employees. “We have also been asked to improve, rehabilitate and fix small defects on behalf of the landlord so that the property can be rented out”, says Thomas Bohlin, CEO of Real Eiendomsforvalting Sør. “We are used to assisting with professional management of housing associations, condominiums, and commercial buildings, so this falls naturally into our portfolio,” says Thomas.
