We can now happily announce that we have opened a new affordable accommodation in Skåne, Sweden – Forenom Hostel Lund Örtofta – close to the motorway and with free parking.
Perfect for all service workers who quickly need to drive to their assignments in northwestern Skåne. Örtofta is a small village between Lund and Eslöv with short travel time to Kävlinge, Landskrona, Malmö, Höör and Hörby, among others.
“It’s difficult to find something as affordable as Forenom Hostel Lund Örtofta“, says Malin Nilsson, Area Director for Forenom Skåne. “Even though it’s a hostel, we have invested in design and quality beds from leading bed manufacturer Hilding. Forenom Hostel Lund Örtofta has 59 rooms consisting of single and double rooms with shared toilets and shower rooms, as well as studio apartments with their own kitchen and bathroom. The rooms are 10–23 m2 in size and all rooms are equipped with refrigerator, microwave, kettle, cutlery, plates, and equipment for cooking. In addition, there are two shared kitchens where guests can cook food and socialize. In the dining room guests can watch TV together, and for all ball fans there’s a ping pong table. In the hostel’s own garden, it’s possible to have a barbeque in the summer and enjoy the beautiful nature.

The hostel is strategically located close to the motorway, which means that guests can quickly and easily get to Lund, Landskrona, Malmö or Skåne inland. Perfect for the blue-collar segment that needs to get to their clients and workplaces in a short time. Accommodation can also be an affordable alternative for students as university town Lund is only ten minutes away by train from Örtofta station”, says Malin.
Guests have free Wi-Fi, and it’s easy to access the rooms around the clock through a flexible key-code system, which also simplifies check-in. The hostel has a laundry room and space-saving wardrobes that are practical for storing work clothes, for example.
Although Örtofta is a small town, there are plenty of activities in the immediate area. How about a visit to Örtofta Castle, one of the most beautiful and oldest medieval castles in Skåne? For those interested in fishing, pike fishing in Kävlinge and Lödde is something to recommend, where many pikes over 20 kg have been caught over the years. In addition, Flyinge, one of Sweden’s three national centers for horse-riding sports, offers high-class equestrian events and riding school activities.
