Metsä Fibre Oy and Forenom Oy have signed a preliminary agreement for accommodation services during the bioproduct mill project in Kemi, Finland
Metsä Fibre Oy, part of Metsä Group, and Forenom Oy have signed a preliminary agreement for accommodation services for the planned bioproduct mill project in Kemi, Finland. Forenom will deliver furnished apartments and related services to staff working on the project throughout the lifecycle of the project.
Metsä Fibre needs a high-quality accommodation service for their employees during the project. High-quality housing helps ensure workplace safety, work efficiency and all-around employee wellbeing.
Forenom is a familiar partner for Metsä Fibre.
“In order to complete this project, a large amount of accommodation units are needed, and this requires a professional in the field. We want the best professionals as our partner during the bioproduct mill project in Kemi. Forenom was chosen also due to their previous experience with large projects. We require that our partners commit to our project goals, including safety, schedule and quality – Forenom operates according to all of these principles,” says Jari-Pekka Johansson, Project Director of Metsä Fibre’s bioproduct mill.

Metsä Fibre will make an investment decision concerning the 1,5 billion euro bioproduct mill project during the beginning of 2021 at the earliest. Construction of the mill in Kemi would begin after this and would last about 2,5 years.
