Forenom, the leading corporate accommodation provider in the Nordic countries, is opening a new aparthotel in Vaasa. The home-like hotel apartments are designed with the needs of mobile workers in mind. As in other Forenom properties, prices in Vaasa favor those staying for longer periods. The prices are lower the longer you stay.
Corporate housing to cater for the active business life in Vaasa
Vaasa is known for an active and lively business life. The challenge for local and international companies of all sizes is providing their employees with flexible and affordable accommodation while they are work on projects in the city. According to Forenom, the new aparthotel will be ideal for project workers, but also those working in Vaasa only a few days a week.
“Our customers have been asking for a specialized provider of corporate accommodation and we are very happy to finally be able to make our addition to the services available in Vaasa. Before, we responded to the demand with furnished apartments that are suitable for longer stays. Now we are expanding our services with the opening of a large aparthotel and a regional office in Vaasa,” says Johanna Ali, Country Manager for Forenom Finland.
Finnish designers to decorate 68 apartments in the J.S. Sirén Building
The aparthotel is located in the heart of Vaasa’s pedestrian city center, on the corner of the Market Square and just two blocks’ walking distance from the train station. The accommodation unit is being built on the top floors of a listed historic building built in the 1940s. The building was designed by architect J.S. Sirén, who also designed the Parliament building in Helsinki. The apartments will be modernized, while retaining the high ceilings and old windows. Studio Puisto Architects from Finland is responsible for the interior design.
“Earthy colors, tones and materials that go with the period of the building will create a soothing atmosphere for the rooms. The individually designed, fully-equipped modern kitchen islands will make the apartments cozy for those staying for longer periods,” architect Sami Logren from Studio Puisto describes.
“We are not a typical hotel, as we have designed our services and premises primarily for longer stays. Our customers live their normal life as far as possible; they cook, do their laundry, and relax at the end of a workday. Of course, they need good sleep and comfortable surroundings. As well as making the premises home-like, we have made everything simple, from booking to checking out. All our services are available online 24 hours a day. This unit will first be released on our corporate customers’ online service, and later, on our general online store,” says Johanna Ali.
