Our meetings with various travel service providers and buyers at the summit were fruitful and everyone appreciated our products and services particularly for corporate travellers. At the summit we received good feedback, and also learned a lesson or two.
Lesson 1: So many changes in the globalizing industy
Before it was the assistants who booked hotels from different websites, whereas in the future it will probably go to a point where most of the travellers make the bookings by simply clicking their mobile apps. Long gone are the days when business travelers and travel managers asked for fancy hotel bars – instead they value the easiness of the payment process (for instance virtual card payments), multiple booking channels where to choose from, security issues, sustainability and ecological aspects of travelling and personalization.
In the constantly changing corporational working environment, we have been receiving feedback during the summit to globalize our products and services. “In the present economical scenario most of the corporates are willing to operate globally to drive the organisational growth. And for this they are finding it crucial to mobilize the skillful man powers at the various locations in the world. Now the need for home-like accommodation becomes an important requirement and a factor for the organisational growth, which definitely further leads to mobilize the overall economic growth”.
As the world becomes more global and business travel increases, we as suppliers need to know our travelling customers even better, focus even more on creating different traveller profiles and start segmenting and targeting them more personally.
Lesson 2: Bleisure travelling
The line between business travel and leisure travel is becoming blurred. “Bleisure” travel means travelling with expectations of combining work efficiency, new opportunities, and new experiences. Business travel has now become more of a lifestyle.
