B2B Day at Nordic Travel Fair 2017

On Thursday Forenom had a business to business day at the Nordic Travel Fair in Messukeskus, Helsinki. Our goal for the day was to meet new customers and greet the ones we know already. People were dazzled by the big container installation that could be seen from far away. The three-store installation is a demo version of our innovative project housing in Äänekoski, Finland. The module hostel in Äänekoski consists of 90 rooms and can accommodate around 150 workers who work at the bio-product mill. The rooms are made of containers and they include bathrooms, television and of course kitchen. We showed the fair visitors more pictures from the Äänekoski project housing and they were surprised to see that the container rooms can be so cozy.  A visitor from South-Africa was interested in the concept and said that it could be one of the solutions for housing problems there. Module hostels are the future!

At Forenom we like to treat our guests with great hospitality.

We enjoyed chatting with the visitors, offered them a warm cup of coffee, and talked business in an informal way. Some of the visitors were inquiring about the open positions and they told us that Forenom looks like a great place to work. We could not agree more!

On the day we also got the chance to hear insights on Millennial travel behavior from Andrew Jones. He told the audience that the Millennials are looking for an authentic experience, which means living like a local when travelling. Millennials are one of the target groups for Forenom as it offers budget accommodation, with an experience of home like living. With the equipped kitchen in Forenom apartments, you can pick up the groceries from the local market and you can cook your own food in a Finnish style. In some apartments you can even enjoy having a private sauna! For example, you could rent an apartment in Lapland and experience safari on a snowmobile, the real way to get around in the snow. Do not miss out on the opportunity to get the authentic experience, with Forenom!
