How do I book a Forenom apartment?

Contact our customer service by calling +358 20 1983420. You can also book the apartment from these pages. 

 

Why do prices vary for the same apartment?

Prices may vary depending on how long you need the accommodation for.  Longer contracts  are always cheaper than  short ones. 

 

Why can I not book the apartment for the date I want?

Most likely, the apartment has been reserved. Please note that the apartment is available from the last day of the most current reservation.  

 

What kind of information does Forenom need in order to make the booking?

Firstly, we need to know for whom the booking is made. The booking can be made for either a private individual or a company. For the booking we need customer’s social security or passport number, and in case of a business, a business-ID. We also need contact information (home address, email address and mobile phone number) and information of all the people who will live in the apartment. Before completing the booking, we always check the credit reference.

Can I get an apartment even if I don’t have good credit reference?

Yes. In these cases the accommodation and safety deposit are paid in advance.

What are the different methods of payment?

You can either pay through online bank payment or by credit card. We accept the following cards: MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Visa Electron and Finnish bank cards. Please note that we don’t accept cash or money transfer.

What do I need to have with me if I come by your office to book accommodation?

You need to bring your ID or passport with you.

How long is the reservation valid?

Without confirmation the reservation is valid for 24 hours.

Are Forenom’s apartments furnished?

All Forenom’s apartments are furnished and the rent includes water, electricity and heating. We also offer extra services to make living easier for you.
 

My accommodation contract starts on Tuesday, when do I get the key?

You can come by and pick up the key on Tuesday between 4 pm and 5 pm. You can also order key delivery, and we will bring the key to you. See also two following questions and answers. 

 

I will be arriving late in the evening. How do I get the keys?

If you cannot get to our office before we close, (9-17 weekdays) please contact customer service in a timely fashion, and order a key delivery (please inform of us when and where the delivery will be). Note that Forenom charges for this service. The keys can also be collected from Helsinki-Vantaa airport AIRPRO's desk at Arrival Hall 2B. You can also inform Forenom’s customer service if you want someone to collect the keys for you. The person receiving keys needs to have an I.D card with them. Their I.D must match the name you have given us.

 

Key delivery

You can order the key delivery from our customer service +358 20 198 3420. The keys will be delivered according to what’s been agreed. To ensure that the delivery goes as planned, please order the keys minimum a day before the start of accommodation contract.

Can I move from one Forenom apartment to another?

Yes. We have a great variety of apartments so if your working location changes or you need a bigger apartment for more people you just need to call to our customer service and we will help you find a new apartment without any extra cost.
 

What is the shortest/longest period I can rent an apartment for?

You can rent an apartment from one day onwards and there is no limit to how long you can stay. Please note that we count stayed days, not the nights. For example a period from Friday to Friday counts for 8 days and not 7 nights.
 

What is included in the rent?

The rent includes the apartment and its furniture and equipment, and also water, electricity and heating.

Can I also bring my pet?

Generally, we don’t accept pets in our apartments. Pets are only allowed with special permission given by Forenom.

Washing machine or other appliance in my apartment isn’t working. What can I do?

What do I do if I’ve lost my key?

You have to call the caretaker of the house you live in, as he/she can open the door. If you cannot reach him/her, please call our customer service number and we will help you. The fee for opening the door depends on the apartment. You also need to pay for the new key. This price depends on the type of the key (exec or classic). Usually the change of locks is also needed which will be done on your own expense.
 

Does Forenom rent out cottages? 

Forenom apartments are mainly situated in towns and cities. For cottages in rural areas contact Forenom’s partner Lomarengas.

Who is responsible for cleaning of the apartment? How about final cleaning?

You can either clean the apartment yourself or you can order it from us as an additional service.

Final cleaning: before moving out, please make sure your apartment is clean and tidy. By ordering the final cleaning from Forenom, you can enjoy your stay without worrying about the cleaning before you go. The cost of the final cleaning depends on the apartment, but it is cheaper when ordered beforehand. You can order the final cleaning when making the accommodation contract or later by calling Forenom’s customer service +358 (0)20 1983 420.

However, when ordering the final cleaning from Forenom it is still your responsibility to:

  • wash the dishes and put them back in the cupboard
  • take out the garbage.


You can also do the final cleaning by yourself. The apartments are equipped with cleaning equipment for this purpose. The cleaning includes:

  • washing the dishes and putting them back in the cupboard
  • taking out the garbage
  • wiping all the surfaces clean (table surfaces, kitchen cupboards, cabinets etc.)
  • vacuuming the floor and carpets
  • wiping the floor with a wet cloth or mop
  • cleaning the oven, stove and fridge
  • cleaning the sauna, bathroom and toilet.


If the final cleaning is not completed to a satisfactory level and in accordance with these instructions, the final cleaning is charged from the safety deposit (the cost starting from 250€).

How do I terminate my accommodation contract?

You just have to call our office or send us an e-mail that you would like to terminate your contract. Please remember that the term of notice differs according to your contract type. 

How do I return my keys?

It is the customer’s responsibility to return the keys on time. You can return them to our office during the open hours or drop them through the mailbox. You can also order a key delivery from our customer service. 

When do I get my deposit money back?

After all the keys of the apartment are returned to Forenom and we have checked and approved that the apartment is tidy and none of the equipment is missing or is broken. It usually takes 1-2 weeks. If there are unpaid invoices Forenom will use the deposit to cover the existing debts. Please note that we cannot return the deposit in cash!
